Apex Legends Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast, Rewards, Badge Levels

Apex Legends

Leveling up in Apex Legends is not just about having a bigger number next to your name. As you gain XP and progress through the levels, you unlock new cosmetics, Apex Packs, Legend Tokens, and badges to show off your experience. With the latest updates, the leveling system has become much bigger and includes more rewards than ever before.

This guide covers how the system works, how much XP you need, the best ways to level up fast, and what you’ll get along the way.

How the Level System Works in Apex Legends

Apex Legends uses an account leveling system based on XP (experience points). You gain XP by playing matches and doing different actions during the game. Each time you get enough XP, your account level increases and you earn rewards.

Unlocking Ranked Mode

To play Ranked in Apex Legends, you need to reach level 20. This requirement is set so that players are familiar with the game before entering competitive matches.

Apex Legends Max Level and Tiers

The maximum account level is 2000. The system is divided into four tiers of 500 levels each. When you reach level 500 in any tier, your level resets to 1 for the next tier, but your total level keeps increasing.

For example:

  • Tier 1: Levels 1–500
  • Tier 2: Levels 1–500 (actually 501–1000)
  • Tier 3: Levels 1–500 (1001–1500)
  • Tier 4: Levels 1–500 (1501–2000)

Every time you complete a tier, you earn a new prestige badge and keep unlocking rewards as you go.

Note: Your account level is not the same as your Ranked tier, which is based on your performance in ranked matches. Check also: How To Rank Up Fast in Apex Legends

XP Requirements Per Level in Apex Legends

As you level up, the amount of XP needed for each level increases. Here’s how it works:

  • Levels 1–20: 2500–9000 XP per level
  • Levels 21–57: 9500–17500 XP per level
  • Levels 58–100: 18000 XP per level
  • Levels 101–500: 18000–36000 XP per level

After level 58, the XP required per level stays the same within each band.
You can see your progress and how much XP you need for the next level in your in-game profile.

How to Earn XP in Apex Legends

XP is earned for many different actions during matches. Here are the main ways:

  • Winning matches and finishing in the top 5 squads
  • Surviving longer in each match
  • Killing enemies and dealing damage
  • Eliminating Champion Squad members
  • Becoming the Kill Leader or Champion Squad
  • Reviving and respawning teammates
  • Earning the first kill of the day bonus
  • Playing with friends for an XP boost

How Much XP You Get for Different Actions

  • Survival Time: 180 XP per minute (189 XP with friends, 5% bonus)
  • Reviving a Teammate: 200 XP (210 XP with friends)
  • Respawning a Teammate: 200 XP (210 XP with friends)
  • Winning a Match: 900 XP (945 XP with friends)

How Much XP Can You Earn Per Hour?

On average, most players earn 10000–15000 XP per hour. Skilled players who use the best strategies and participate in events can reach up to 17500 XP per hour.

Bonus XP for Playing with Friends

Playing with friends gives you a 5% bonus to Survival Time XP. For example, Survival Time solo gives 180 XP per minute, but with friends you get 189 XP per minute.
This bonus may look small, but it adds up over time and helps you level up faster. Teaming up with friends also increases your chances of surviving longer, winning fights, and earning more XP from support actions like revives and respawns.

Limited Time Modes, Events, and Double XP

Apex Legends often features limited time modes such as Deathmatch, Control, and Gun Run. These modes can give similar or even better XP than standard matches, especially if you enjoy faster gameplay and want to practice fighting.

Look out for Double XP Events and special promotions. During these events, all XP you earn in matches is doubled, so it’s the best time to grind levels and Battle Pass tiers.

XP Boosts and Battle Pass

XP Boosts give extra XP for Top 5 finishes or wins and are unlocked through the Premium Battle Pass. Each Boost gives an extra 10% XP for those actions, and they stack up to 300% if your whole squad has them.

You can get XP Boosts at these Battle Pass levels:

  • Level 12: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 22: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 32: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 42: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 52: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 62: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 72: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 82: 10% XP Boost
  • Level 92: 10% XP Boost

So if you want to level up your account and Battle Pass fast, make sure to use these boosts during Double XP events and always play with friends.

Apex Legends Level Rewards for Leveling Up

Leveling up gives you much more than just a higher number. Here’s what you can earn:

Rare Packs (Apex Packs)

You can now earn up to 544 Rare Packs by reaching the max account level (2,000). The packs are spread out across all four level tiers as follows:

  • Levels 2–20: 1 pack every level
  • Levels 22–300: 1 pack every 2 levels

Tiers 2–4 (Each Tier: Levels 1–500)

  • Levels 1–100: 1 pack every 10 levels
  • Levels 100–200: 1 pack every 8 levels
  • Levels 200–300: 1 pack every 6 levels
  • Levels 300–400: 1 pack every 4 levels
  • Levels 400–500: 1 pack every 2 levels

By following this system, players can earn a total of 544 Apex Packs for free just by leveling up.

Legend Tokens

Every time you level up, you earn Legend Tokens. Use them to unlock new Legends or recolored skins.

Crafting Materials

Some rewards include Crafting Materials so you can create specific cosmetic items.

Level Badges

Every 20 levels in each tier, you unlock a new Apex Legends level badge design to show off your progress. When you complete a full tier (every 500 levels), you also get a prestige badge.

Battle Pass Progress

For every 5000 XP you earn, you get a Battle Pass Star. Collect 10 Stars to move up one tier in your Battle Pass and unlock more rewards.

The Fastest Way to Level Up in Apex Legends: Survival Time and Teamwork

The number one way to get the most XP is to survive as long as possible in matches. The longer your team stays alive, the more Survival Time XP you earn. Even if you get eliminated early, if your squad survives, you keep getting Survival XP until the match ends.

Tips for Surviving Longer

  • Stick with your squad and communicate — teamwork helps everyone survive.
  • Learn the maps to make smart rotations and avoid dangerous areas.
  • Use cover and position well instead of chasing every fight.
  • Loot quickly and share with your team so everyone is ready for battles.
  • Choose your fights carefully — retreat when needed to keep your team alive.
  • Reviving and respawning teammates also gives you a lot of XP, so always help your squad if you can.

Pro Tip from an Apex Legends Level Booster

The best way to level up fast is to spend as much time as possible in each match. Try dropping far away from other squads and play as a mobile Legend who can easily escape danger, like Pathfinder. Focus on looting the best gear you can find, then hide and survive until the final rings. Your main goal is to make it into the top 3 without taking risky fights.

Once there are only two other squads left, pay close attention to the kill feed and listen for gunfire. When the other teams start fighting each other, move in carefully. Try to finish off the surviving players or help both teams eliminate each other. Your goal is to secure the win without putting yourself in unnecessary danger.
This strategy gives you the most Survival Time XP and a big win bonus, helping you level up much faster!

If you want to skip the grind entirely, you can also hire a professional booster who will quickly level up your account while you’re at work or away from the game. With our Apex Legends level boosting, you can reach your desired level faster and unlock all the best rewards without any stress.
